Correctly choose the type of rolling bearing, optimistic about these major factors

As the main components of mechanical equipment, bearings play a key role in the operation process, so our choice of rolling bearing type is a very important point. Based on the knowledge and experience of bearings, we will tell you when we choose the type of rolling bearing How to correctly find the most suitable bearing type, you can choose the type of rolling bearing through these major factors.

Correctly choose the type of rolling bearing, optimistic about these major factors:

1. Load conditions

Bearing the size, direction and nature of the bearing is the main basis for selecting the bearing type. If the load is small and stable, ball bearings can be selected; when the load is large and there is impact, roller bearings should be selected; if the bearings are only subjected to radial loads, radial contact ball bearings or cylindrical roller bearings should be selected; only axial When loading, thrust bearings should be selected; when the bearings are subjected to both radial and axial loads, angular contact bearings should be used. The greater the axial load, the larger the contact angle should be selected. If necessary, the combined structure of radial bearings and thrust bearings can also be used. It should be noted that thrust bearings cannot bear radial loads, and cylindrical roller bearings cannot bear axial loads.

2. Rotation speed of bearing

If the size and accuracy of the bearing are the same, the limit speed of the ball bearing is higher than that of the roller bearing, so when the speed is higher and the rotation accuracy is higher, the ball bearing should be selected.

Thrust bearings have a low speed limit. When the working speed is high and the axial load is not large, angular contact ball bearings or deep groove ball bearings can be used. For bearings with high-speed rotation, in order to reduce the centrifugal force exerted by the rolling elements on the outer ring raceway, bearings with smaller outer diameters and rolling element diameters should be used. Generally, it should be ensured that the bearings work below the limit speed. If the working speed exceeds the limit speed of the bearing, the requirements can be met by increasing the tolerance level of the bearing and appropriately increasing its radial clearance.

3. Self-aligning performance

The offset angle between the axis of the inner and outer rings of the bearing should be controlled within the limit, otherwise it will increase the additional load of the bearing and reduce its life. For shaft systems with poor stiffness or poor installation accuracy, the deflection angle between the inner and outer ring axes of the bearing is large, and self-aligning bearings should be used. Such as self-aligning ball bearings (Class 1), self-aligning roller bearings (Class 2), etc.

4. Allowable space

When the axial dimension is limited, narrow or ultra-narrow bearings should be used. When the radial size is limited, bearings with smaller rolling elements should be used. If the radial size is small and the radial load is large, needle roller bearings can be used.

5. Performance

Tapered roller bearings (category 3) and cylindrical roller bearings (category N) have separable inner and outer rings, making assembly and disassembly easier.

6. Economical

In the case of meeting the requirements of use, try to choose low-cost bearings. In general, the price of ball bearings is lower than roller bearings. The higher the accuracy grade of the bearing, the higher its price.

7. Other requirements

Deep groove ball bearings have the lowest price among bearings of the same size and accuracy.

The price ratio of deep groove ball bearings of the same model, size, and different tolerance levels is about PO: P6: P5: P4: P2≈1: 1.5: 2: 7: 10.

If there are no special requirements, ordinary grade precision bearings should be selected as much as possible. Only when there is a high requirement on the rotation accuracy, the bearings with higher precision should be selected.

In addition, there may be other various requirements, such as the requirements of the overall design of the bearing device. Therefore, it is necessary to comprehensively analyze and compare the design and select the most suitable bearing.

Rolling bearings are also a kind of more precise mechanical originals. There are also many types of rolling bearings and a wide range of applications, but we can choose the most suitable rolling bearing according to specific conditions and requirements, so as to better improve the manufacturing performance of mechanical equipment. .
