According to the manufacturing method, automobile exhaust pipe elbows are divided into simmering elbows, welded elbows and stamped elbows. Among them, the simmering elbow can be divided into cold simmering and hot simmering. Except for the stamped elbow pipe made by the factory, other simmering pipes can be processed on the construction site.

The form of simmering automobile exhaust pipe elbow has the advantages of good flexibility, high pressure resistance, smooth pipe wall and low resistance. The processing is simple, therefore, it is often used in construction sites. In addition, the types of bends commonly encountered in pipeline installation projects include various angle elbows, U-shaped pipes, back and forth bends (B-shaped bends), and curved bends.

The elbow is a pipe fitting with any angle, which is used at the turn of the pipe. The bending radius of the elbow is represented by R. The R value is small, the bending part is short, the turning is sharp, and the resistance loss is large; the R value is large, the bending part is long, the turning is smoother, and the water flow loss is small. The distance H between the center lines of the two ends of the U-shaped tube is equal to twice the bending radius R. It is often used to connect two pipes or radiators composed of upper and lower pipes, and can be used instead of two elbows.

Bent back and forth with two bend angles (usually 135 degrees) bends. The distance between the center lines of the bent ends of the pipe that is bent back and forth is called the height of the back and forth bend and is represented by h. It is often used when the pipeline is connected to a connection point that is not on the same plane, and it needs to be used for the return bend connection. The arc tube is a elbow with three bending angles, the middle is 900, and the side angle is 135 degrees. Arc-shaped pipes are used to bypass other pipelines, such as hot and cold water pipes and sanitary ware piping, usually arc-shaped pipes are connected.
